The Haiku ceiling fan
LEXINGTON, Ky.-The Haiku fan from Big Ass Fans has earned a bronze medal in the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
The ceiling fan was cited for its sleek look and Sensorless Drive Technology, which delivers an 80 percent improvement in energy efficiency over conventional ceiling fans, according to a statement from Big Ass Fans. It is also designed with handcrafted bamboo air foils, which span 60 inches and thus offer an aerodynamic profile for smooth and silent air flow.
The statement added that Haiku has also received a red dot design award for product design, a LiveEDGE award for excellence in electronic design and a Design Award from the Australian International Design Awards, presented by Good Design Australia.
