Nambe Eyes Additional Home Categories

NambeNEW YORK-Nambe plans to build a strategic licensing program that will extend its name into additional home furnishings categories through a new partnership with Perpetual Licensing.

Nambe is eyeing categories such as lighting, office products, kitchen and bath accessories and home decor, as well as jewelry and watches.

"Nambe consumers are looking to see products in more categories for both inside and outside the home, and we believe working with Perpetual to create licensing partnerships is the ideal way to fulfill this consumer demand," said Robert Varakian, Nambe president and CEO.

The Nambe brand was created in 1951 in Santa Fe, N.M., during Modernism's mid-century design movement and is best known for its innovative materials, organic shapes and award-winning design. "For a long time, I have been a great admirer of the beautiful products offered by Nambe," said David Milch of Perpetual Licensing. "The brand's unique styling, impeccable reputation, broad distribution and devoted consumer following invite an extensive array of licensing opportunities."
