Prima Lighting Honored in Dallas

DALLAS-Crystorama Lighting presented its 2011 Retailer of the Year Award to Prima Lighting during a ceremony Thursday at the Dallas International Lighting Market.

Prima Lighting is the inaugural winner of the award, which will be given annually to a retailer with an outstanding commitment to the Crystorama brand. Winners are chosen based on depth of product, presentation and merchandising, sales training, branding and other criteria.

Prima Lighting, a Crystorama customer since 2007, operates a 22,000-square-foot showroom in Vaughan, Ontario. Company founders Luca Filice and Sam Folino have a different approach to selling lighting that has earned them numerous industry accolades, Crystorama said in a statement. They showcase lighting in designer-created vignettes and room scenes that give shoppers a better sense of what the fixtures will look like in their homes.

"Prima Lighting is a first-class lighting showroom that offers an innovative and fashion-forward shopping experience for its customers," said Ryan Ranzino, national sales manager. "Whether it is through merchandising, advertising, or sales support, Prima Lighting has been very supportive of the Crystorama brand. This award recognizes Prima Lighting's outstanding retail achievements."

Filice and Folino accepted the award. "We are very honored to not only be nominated but also to be the first winners in this category," Filice said. "Crystorama has been a great partner in our store and will continue to be so for years to come."
