While it is one of Ralph Lauren Home's newest licensees, having signed with the company in December, Visual Comfort & Co. already has a long history with the iconic brand, having worked with it behind the scenes for more than 10 years.

"We have always thought it would be a great fit for our company to expand our role to become a licensee," Andy Singer, president, Visual Comfort & Co., said. "Working with Ralph Lauren allows us to bring the incredible talent of the Ralph Lauren organization to the wider audience represented by the Visual Comfort distribution channel." Visual Comfort's portfolio of licensed collections includes ones from such designers Thomas O'Brien, Barbara Barry, Suzanne Kasler and Clodagh.

The new Ralph Lauren Home line is divided into the Ralph Lauren and Lauren Ralph Lauren collections. The Ralph Lauren Home line has launched with 200 lighting designs styled around the Ralph Lauren Home lifestyles, Singer said. Natural brass, polished nickel, mahogany, crystal, porcelain and leather are among the materials used for the collection.

The Lauren Ralph Lauren line, Singer said, "is a wonderful collection of special designs that are classic in nature and offer compelling value."

The products are sourced from all over the globe and are shipping now from Visual Comfort's facility in Houston, he added. Price points range from $79 to $2,999.

At High Point Market this month the company will be showing more than 50 new designs between Ralph Lauren and Lauren Ralph Lauren, ranging from new leather-covered lamps to a line of antiqued gilded iron crystal chandeliers.-Andrea Lillo
