Anatomic Global's Comfort by DesignAnatomic Global's Comfort by Design

Anatomic Global

Anatomic Global debuted its Comfort by Design collection at the most recent Las Vegas Market, one of which is the Ascent mattress pictured here. Totaling nine beds in all, the line uses the patent-pending Comfort Support Architecture, which features a choice of three to seven progressive layers of up to 6.5 inches of proprietary memory foam and lumbar-support constructions. The result is a mattress that is customized according to the preferences of the user. As with all of Anatomic Global's mattresses, Ascent and the rest of the Comfort by Design collection are made with EcoMemoryFoam, the trademarked extreme-open-cell memory foam.

Spring Air International

The company's new Sleep Sense specialty line offers a patented, multilevel foam core design which interlocks with topper layers offered in latex, gel, memory foam or surface-modified technology (SMT) foam. These toppers are inserted directly into the high-density, plant-based foam core at recessed locations, thus providing relief to the body's highest pressure areas while delivering support to the lower back. The foundation is made of sustainable wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council of Canada. The Sleep Sense line is also made with a cover of joma wool, which helps regulate body temperature and humidity.

The Revitalize mattress is part of the company's sleep-harmony brand, a new line of mattresses made with visco latex foam. This model has a 15-inch profile and is a super-pillowtop mattress which combines the conforming shape of visco memory foam with the springlike feeling of latex. The other two mattresses in the lineup are Balance, with a profile of 11 inches, and Harmony, with an 11.5-inch profile. Last year, Glideaway transformed sleepharmony into an overall brand for sleep products by adding pillows to the collection.

Sleep Innovations

The company is promising that its Pure Comfort Grand Memory Foam Mattress takes sleep to a whole new level. This super-premium mattress is constructed in three layers. The top layer is made with the company's patented NutraTemp memory foam, which is designed to keep the user at a neutral body temperature that is never too warm or too cold. The center layer is a super-soft, highly resilient spring foam, and the third layer consists of a thick premium-base foam. The mattress is covered with a quilted jacquard stretch-knit fabric for easy care. It is also packaged in a box, but doesn't lose its shape as a result.

Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
