Oakhill Chosen to Head Brand Management for Mattress Firm

HOUSTON-Mattress industry veteran Tim Oakhill has been named executive vice president of brand management for Mattress Firm.

In his new role, a new position for Mattress Firm, Oakhill oversees brand and communications strategy, development and implementation. He reports directly to Steve Stagner, the company's CEO.

Oakhill's career encompasses 30 years and includes executive roles in marketing for brands in a number of categories. Most recently, he was a consultant to Mattress Firm, Nomaco, EmployBridge and Eitel & Armstrong, assisting these firms in brand strategy, planning and product development. Prior to that, Oakhill was executive vice president of marketing for Simmons. He also served in marketing roles for Eastman-Kodak and as a manager of accounts for Bates Worldwide, the advertising and promotions agency.
