Savoir Beds to Open U.S. Stores

NEW YORK-Savoir Beds, a United Kingdom-based manufacturer of luxury mattresses, is planning to enter the U.S. market with store openings here and in other major metropolitan areas.

The stores will open throughout this year, according to a company statement. Offering hand-crafted mattresses made with all-natural, toxin-free and allergen-free materials, Savoir Beds began in 1905 with a commission to produce beds for London's Savoy Hotel. The company is now owned by Alistair Hughes, its chief executive officer.

Savoir Bed makes custom-order mattresses from a collection from which a customer can choose. Prices begin at $8,250.
