Sealy Offers Black Friday Promotion for Optimum Line

TRINITY, N.C.-Sealy is holding a promotion centering on this year's Black Friday, Nov. 23, to help boost sales for its Optimum line of mattresses.

Beginning yesterday and extending through Nov. 26, the company will offer a free boxspring to shoppers who purchase an Optimum mattress. The promotion is a continuation of Sealy's 2012 advertising and promotional program, which also included what Sealy described in a statement as "an unprecedented national TV campaign, digital buy and in-store programs." This particular offering is designed to draw customers to retailers that offer Sealy mattresses during the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

Jodi Allen, Sealy's chief marketing officer, said, "With our strategically timed promotion, we hope to build on the excitement surrounding the holidays to encourage consumers to visit one of our retail partners and try out one of our newest, most innovative mattresses."

Sealy said in its statement that the 2012 campaign included its largest advertising spend in five years.
