Serta Teams with City of Hope to Support Cancer Research

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-Serta has joined forces with City of Hope in a campaign to provide support to cancer research, treatment and education.

The two organizations have launched the Adopt-a-Sheep for the Fight Against Cancer event, which offers people the opportunity to "adopt" a limited-edition Counting Sheep plush toy designed by Serta and City of Hope. The Counting Sheep will be distributed at participating Serta retailers and directly to the public through the Internet. Serta will donate a minimum of $1.50 for each sale or distribution of the toy to City of Hope.

Individuals can receive a Counting Sheep for free with either a qualified purchase or a "test rest" of the iComfort Sleep System, Serta's memory-foam mattress featuring trademarked Cool Action material. They can also purchase the toy online by visiting and selecting "Buy Your Sheep Online."

The event will run through March 31, 2012. Serta introduced the Counting Sheep as a collectible item in 2000.
