ATLANTA-Simmons has launched the Beautyrest Anniversary Challenge and will give free sheets to consumers who purchase a new Simmons mattress beginning on May 15.

The sweepstakes, which got under way yesterday, is a Web-based trivia contest in which participants can win a Beautyrest Anniversary mattress. In the sheet giveaway, consumers who buy a new Simmons mattress valued at $997 or more will receive a free set of new Beautyrest sheets. Both promotions are designed to create traffic at Simmons' retailers to mark the appearance of the 2010 Beautyrest line at stores this month.

The new line celebrates the 85th anniversary of the Beautyrest brand. As part of the Beautyrest Anniversary Challenge, the company will choose one winner each week, and will award a grand prize of a new Beautyrest mattress complete with a bed ensemble of sheets, mattress pad and pillows to a selected winner.
