Sleep Train Acquires America's Mattress, Mattress Outlet

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Sleep Train has purchased America's Mattress and Mattress Outlet to expand its presence in new markets in the Northwest.

America's Mattress and Mattress Outlet were two separate operations owned by brothers Jon and Ken Mullinax. The two deals will enable Sleep Train to open 21 stores in eastern and western Washington state and western Idaho.

Sixteen of these stores will open under the Sleep Country USA banner, and five will become Mattress Discounters. Sleep Train is the parent company of both of these chains.

Recently, Sleep Train acquired Christian's Mattress Xpress, which added three Sleep Train stores in California.
