Sleep Train Golf Classic Raises More Than $400,000 for Foster Children

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Sleep Train recently held its annual charity golf classic, and raised more than $400,000 for foster children to continue their education after high school.

The event, which also marked the retailer's 25th anniversary in business, generated donations for CSU Chancellors Office/College Pathways, the Guardian Scholars Program of City College of San Francisco, the Guardian Scholars Program of the University of California-Riverside, the Guardian Scholars Program of California State University, Sacramento, and the Governors Scholarship of the College Success Foundation. A Sleep Train statement said this year's golf classic quadrupled year-over-year donations.

Participants included representatives from Sealy, Serta, Simmons, Tempur-Pedic, Leggett & Platt and Latex International.
