SSA Reorganizes Board; DeHaerne Elected Chairman

FRIANT, Calif.-The Specialty Sleep Association has reorganized its board of directors and elected Bart DeHaerne, president of Deslee Textiles, to the newly created position of chairman.
In addition, Michael Nermon, founder and president of Ergo Customized Comfort, has been elected vice chairman, and Todd Youngblood, president of Chili Technology, has become secretary/treasurer. Dale Read, senior writer for Bedroom magazine, has been named to a newly defined president's position, which is now a paid professional with the trade association. Read is responsible for membership development and the implementation of the group's Safety & Environmental Program.
Tambra Jones remains as SSA's executive director, focusing on leasing for the trade group's showroom at the World Market Center in Las Vegas, and overseeing operations and finance.
SSA voted on the new officer slate at a meeting during the recent Las Vegas Market.
