Capel's Robertson Set to Retire

ATLANTA-Allen Robertson, Capel's vice president of sales, has announced that he will retire after Las Vegas Market later this month, after 16 years with the company.

James Brown is considered the hardest-working man in music, "and Allen is the hardest-working man in the rug business," said John Magee, president and CEO, Capel, who estimated that Robertson has been to more than 300 trade shows in his 16 years with the company.

All of the company's sales reps had been reporting to Robertson, and now with his leaving, they will begin reporting to their respective regional manager, of which the company has five.

"It's all been fun," Robertson said. He said he planned to spend retirement playing more golf, becoming more involved with his community and visiting his children.
