December 30, 2016,
NEW YORK—Along with more than 150 introductions next month, Kas Rugs will debut its second-annual Outdoor Lookbook, which showcases its growing indoor/outdoor rug category.
Kas' new outdoor rug catalog
The 40-page book features more close-up texture and room shots, as well as the new Farmhouse collection, a rustic, machine-woven flatweave made of UV-treated polypropylene that has a wool and jute look and feel.
It includes simple geometric and boho chic designs.
In addition, the catalog shows new designs in the existing Harbor, Lucia and Meridian collections. This year’s catalog also includes images of round rug designs, as well as incorporates Pantone’s 2017 color of the year, Greenery, throughout the book on titles.
In January, Kas will debut nine collections, including Mission, a dense, silky rug design; Austin, a handknotted, transitional line that has a ribbed effect; and Empire, a handtufted, watercolor-look line in a velvety wool blend with viscose highlights. Kas will open one day early at each market: January 10 at Atlanta Market (in showroom 4-C-5) and January 21 at Las Vegas Market (in showroom B-175).
Kas will offer free freight for the month of January and pillow and pouf discounts all week during market, along with wine and cheese at both markets daily from 4-6 p.m.
Home décor leader Imax Worldwide Home has launched its new website with new features that include mobile-friendly responsive design, advanced filtering and search functionality, additional product detail fields, a new wishlist, and higher photo resolution. An inviting, user-friendly interface design completes the makeover.

Cautious Optimism, Mixed Results
Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
