Maureen Azzato Named Publisher, John Huff Joins HFN

Former Publisher Scott Franz joins Casual Living

NEW YORK—Maureen Azzato has been promoted to Publisher & Editorial Director of HFN, which she has been leading for the past year and a half as Chief Brand Officer.

In addition to continuing to lead editorial, Azzato’s responsibilities will now also include sales. Associate Publisher Natalie Filtser and John Huff—who recently joined the brand as Senior Executive Account Manager—will report to Azzato effective immediately. Azzato will continue to report to Dean Horowitz, president of Progressive Business Media, HFN’s parent company.

Continuing as an editorial advisor to HFN, Warren Shoulberg’s title is now Editor-at-Large. Scott Franz, publisher of HFN for the past year and a half, is joining Casual Living, another PBM brand.

“This organizational approach will enhance HFN’s ability to continue its growth as the only industry brand focused on total home retail innovation and inspiration,” said Matt Slaine, CEO of PBM.

Huff, who is handling the Midwest and West Coast territories, brings to HFN more than 25 years of integrated print and digital media sales experience, working for companies such as Cahners Publishing, VerticalNet, Putnam Media, Reed Business Information, Cygnus Business Media and, most recently, Stagnito, where he was midwest sales manager for Progressive Grocer for more than three years.
