AHAMAHAM

WASHINGTON-The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) has appointed Robert McArver vice president of policy and government relations.

In his new post, McArver is responsible for the association's legislative, regulatory, political and grassroots programs. He also plays a key role in advancing AHAM's positions on public policy issues. He has succeeded Kevin Messner, who will become AHAM's vice president of state government affairs after his relocation to California, effective July 15.

Prior to joining the association, McArver was vice president of global public affairs for Celanese. His career also includes a position in which he directed government relations for the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association.
