NEW YORK—Tabletop company Vista Alegre was recognized with three design awards from two prestigious institutions.

The maker of fine porcelain and crystal tableware, giftware and barware earned its first ever Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for the Fénix Crystal Decanter, and won two German Design Awards from the German Board of Design for its tableware collections Orquestra and Trace.

The Vista Alegre collections Carrara, Gárgulas, Jazz and Love Who You Want received a “special mention” from the German Board of Design. Additionally, Blue Ming, Plissé, Timeless, Midnight and Swinging all received nominations.

For the second year in a row, Vista Alegre has been recognized for outstanding quality and design by the German Design Awards, having won an award in 2016 for Printemps by Carsten Gollnick.

“We are extremely proud to be honored by the Chicago Athenaeum and the German Board of Design, two internationally renowned design organizations,” said Daniel Da Silva, president of Vista Alegre USA. “Our team at Vista Alegre is dedicated to producing excellence in design, and receiving this recognition from the design world is a great privilege.”
