NY NOW Invites Exhibitors to Apply For Displays and Awards Ahead of the Winter 2018 Market

WHITE PLAINS, NY. –Ahead of the winter 2018 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, exhibitors are invited to apply now for the popular sustainability: design for a better world® and destination:new display programs as well as the NY NOW “Best New Product” Awards.
Taking place this coming February at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New Yok City, NY NOW will spotlight on-trend products and brands from around the world. The winter 2018 market is a can’t-miss experience for anyone in the home, gift, lifestyle and handmade industries and these free opportunities are the ideal way for exhibitors to be seen where it matters most.
“When it comes to standing out at NY NOW, exhibitors can help promote their products even further by taking advantage of some of the great free programs we have available,” said Randi Mohr, Vice President and NY NOW Director. “Our curated displays and our ‘Best New Product’ Awards program are terrific opportunities to be at the forefront of what NY NOW attendees will see and hear about onsite.”
The NY NOW sustainability: design for a better world® display is a curated showcase of global gift and home industry suppliers whose products or production processes are eco-friendly, or companies whose business practices are socially responsible, philanthropic or fair-trade oriented. Participation is free and open to all NY NOW exhibitors, but companies must apply and be accepted. Additionally, all products within the display are automatically eligible for the “Eco Choice” Awards program. One winner will be selected by an independent panel of judges in each of three categories: Most Innovative, Most Sensitive Use of Materials, and Most Sellable. Only products accepted to the display are eligible for the “Eco Choice” Awards program.

The exciting destination:new product display highlights new designs from around the market, making it a great way for attendees to easily see some of the leading and emerging trends in one place. Exhibitors showcasing products that are new to the marketplace as of September 1, 2017 are invited to apply for this opportunity. There is no cost to apply or participate, though a single entry can only represent one item, or one set of items packaged together for retail sale. The product choices are subject to the review and discretion of the display designer. Among the display participants, any product that is making its debut exclusively at NY NOW will automatically be considered for NY NOW’s “Best Exclusive Launch” Award.

“Best New Product” Awards
The “Best New Product” Awards celebrate the extraordinary offerings from exhibitors across the Market and recognize one standout product in each of the ten sections. All products entered are eligible to be considered for the “Best New Product” Award in their category, identified by the section of the NY NOW market in which they are exhibiting. One winner in each section will be selected by an independent panel of judges during the Market and winners will be announced during NY NOW. Exhibitors showcasing products that are new to the marketplace as of September 1, 2017 are invited to apply for this opportunity. There is no cost to apply or participate, though a single entry can only represent one item, or one set of items packaged together for retail sale. Among the ten section winners, one grand winner will be selected as the recipient of the “Best in Market” Award. The application deadline for the “Best New Product” Awards is December 15, 2017.
