Boylson, J.C. Penney Marketing Chief, Retires

PLANO, Texas-Mike Boylson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of J.C. Penney, has retired after 32 years with the department-store retailer.
Boylson announced that he intended to retire in early June, according to a J.C. Penney spokeswoman. Bill Gentner, senior vice president of marketing planning and promotions, will serve as interim chief marketing officer while the company conducts a search for Boylson's successor.
