DALLAS-The Container Store has allied with storage-products vendor Iris USA to donate nearly 1,000 storage boxes to the town of West, Texas, for use in relief efforts following the recent explosion of a fertilizer plant.

The boxes were received yesterday in West, and will be distributed in part to the local school for the storage and transportation of school equipment, and to affected families to help store and protect their remaining belongings.

Kip Tindell, The Container Store's chairman and CEO, said, "Being so close to home and part of our company culture to help the communities surrounding us, we wanted to help in any way we could."
