NEW YORK-Today The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was the focus of Gilt's newest sale, which launched today at noon and will run for seven days. The movie, starring Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, opens on Christmas and is about a day dreamer who ends up embarking on a global journey filled with adventure.

The sale will feature one-of-a-kind props from the film, including a beer boot, which is used in a scene when Stiller's character, Mitty, finds himself in a bar in Nook, Iceland, drinking with a local helicopter pilot. Other props include a bicycle and skateboard, hiking gear, a leather wallet, wardrobe pieces worn by the stars and signed movie posters. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Stiller Foundation, which Ben Stiller founded in 2010 to promote the well-bring of children worldwide through initiatives that support education.
