Gooch Elected to Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Board

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores has elected James F. Gooch, former president and CEO of Radio Shack, to its board of directors.

Gooch will also serve as chair of the board's audit committee. William R. Harker, chairman of the Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores board, cited Gooch's "extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of retail and consumer-product businesses."

Prior to serving as Radio Shack's president and CEO, Gooch was the electronics retailer's chief financial officer. Before joining Radio Shack, he served in executive positions with Helene Curtis, Quaker Oats, Kmart and Sears Holdings.
