INDIANAPOLIS-Kevin Lyons has been promoted to senior vice president of e-commerce for specialty retailer hhgregg.

Lyons, who was vice president of e-commerce, reports to Julie Lyle, hhgregg's chief marketing officer. He joined the company in May 2013, and has since led the e-commerce team's creation of the online development and promotional strategy. An hhgregg statement said this strategy "has improved website navigation, driven positive social-media engagement among key customer groups and integrated online and in-store marketing, resulting in double-digit growth in sales and conversions."

Before joining hhgregg, Lyons served with a number of retailers (unnamed in the statement) in executive positions, and operated his own consulting practice.
