hhgregg's Lyle Named to Chair Retail Marketing Group

Julie LyleJulie Lyle

INDIANAPOLIS-Julie Lyle, hhgregg's chief marketing officer, has been appointed 2015 chairperson of the Global Retail Marketing Association (GRMA) Advisory Board.

The group is an association of top-level executives from leading retailers. In this role, Lyle will lead the board and play a key role in the development of the organization's strategic initiatives and thought leadership. She will also serve as a senior advisor to Stephanie Fischer, GRMA's president and CEO.

Lyle is succeeding Brian Beitler, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of David's Bridal. Beitler served as the board's chairman from 2012 to 2014.

Fischer cited Lyle as "one of the most forward-thinking marketers that I know, and an ideal chairperson for GRMA as we embark on new thought-leadership initiatives." Such efforts will include interactive webinars with industry experts, retail industry research and content such as case studies and white papers. The association will also introduce an invitation-only online community for retail executives and regional workshops.
