Home Depot Tabs Vadon for Board of Directors

ATLANTA-Mark Vadon, chairman of online jewelry retailer Blue Nile, has been appointed to The Home Depot's board of directors.
Vadon co-founded Blue Nile in 1999, and has been its chairman throughout its history. He has also served as executive chairman, CEO and president. In 2009, he founded zulily Inc., a daily deals site for mothers, babies and kids, and serves as its chairman as well.
"Mark's expertise in developing and implementing successful online strategies will be a benefit to our company and an asset to our board," said Frank Blake, Home Depot's chairman and CEO.
