Louis Fortunoff Dies at 47

NEW YORK-Louis Fortunoff, an executive with the Fortunoff specialty chain, died on Saturday after suffering from pancreatic cancer, according to published reports. He was 47 years old.

Fortunoff was the son of son of Helene and the late Alan Fortunoff, whose parents founded the upscale home furnishings store which had locations in New York and New Jersey but ultimately went out of business in 2009. Louis Fortunoff began working in the family business in 1988 and held various positions in operations, finance, public relations and merchandising, reports said.
