Lowe's Ups Ramsay to IT Chief

MOORESVILLE, N.C.-Paul Ramsay, acting chief information officer for Lowe's, has been promoted to permanent chief information officer.

Ramsay has been acting chief information officer since March. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Lowe's IT organization, including the development of a technology portfolio that supports the operations of the company's stores, distribution network, e-commerce platforms and future technology needs. He reports to Richard Maltsbarger, who has been named chief development officer for the home-improvement chain.

Ramsay also serves as president of Orchard Supply Hardware, the California-based hardware chain that Lowe's acquired last year. He has more than 25 years experience in the IT industry. He joined Lowe's in 2011 as senior vice president of IT infrastructure and operations. He was named senior vice president of information technology for Lowe's U.S. home improvement business in 2013.
