NEW YORK-Macy's is inviting America to "think pink" in an effort to draw attention, heighten awareness and raise funds in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout the month of October it will offer an array of commemorative pink products, including home merchandise.
"Macy's has been a long-time supporter of the breast cancer awareness movement, not only during the month of October, but throughout the year," said Martine Reardon, chief marketing officer for Macy's. "Our dedication to this cause has afforded us the opportunity to invite various partners to join the fight--from our vendors that design exclusive merchandise to employees who volunteer their time and, of course, to the customers who give generously through shopping at our stores. This year, in addition to our dedicated Pink Shop we are pleased to support the Ralph Lauren brand in their quest to raise awareness through the Pink Pony Fund and expand the offering to further the fight against breast cancer."
