NPD Taps James to Lead Home and Office Supplies Division

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.-The NPD Group has promoted Perry James to president of its home and office supplies division. James replaces Peter Goldman, who moved to a new position within the company, as senior vice president of NPD's Technology Analyst Business.
James has been with the NPD for 16 years. Most recently, he was president of NPD's office supplies and software businesses, where he was able to successfully build the office supply business. Prior to running the office supplies and software businesses, James led home's business development team. In his new role, James will oversee general management of home and office supplies, including product, marketing, and business strategies. He reports to Dennis Brown, group president, The NPD Group.
"We are extremely happy to have Perry re-join home, this time as the president," Brown said. "Perry's depth of experience and familiarity with the home business unit make him an excellent choice to lead NPD's home and office supply businesses."
