Pier 1 Tabs Hunter to Head Marketing Efforts

FORT WORTH, Texas-Former J.C. Penney executive Eric Hunter has been named executive vice president of marketing for Pier 1 Imports.
Hunter has assumed responsibility for the retailer's integrated marketing efforts and for enhancing its brand image. Before joining the company, he was senior vice president of marketing and acting chief marketing officer for J.C. Penney, leading the department store retailer's strategy, research, creative, media, customer-relationship management and digital direction for all of its brands.
Hunter also served as chief marketing officer and group president of Kellwood Co. He also served in executive positions with PMK/HBH/Momentum Worldwide, the promotional marketing arm of McCann Worldgroup, and with Creative Artists Agency.
