QVC Debuts Social-Commerce Platform

WEST CHESTER, Pa.-QVC has launched toGather, a new social shopping platform, available at gather.qvc.com.

The new platform brings together QVC's community of customers, personalities and brands. On toGather, users can explore products that are trending in the community or set up their own personalized feed by following people and brands that share their sense of style, according to a QVC statement. Included on the site are an integrated shopping cart, a full catalog and recommendations from the community.

The statement said U.S. shoppers who interacted with one or more of QVC's social channels generated more than $500 million in revenue in the 12 months ending in June 2013. toGather is "an online destination where customers discover new products and are entertained with people they know and trust," said Claire Watts, U.S. CEO of QVC.
