Report: McMillon, Simon in Line to Succeed Duke at Walmart

BENTONVILLE, Ark.-Doug McMillon, president and CEO of Walmart International, and Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., have been tabbed as possible internal successors to Mike Duke, president and CEO of Walmart, according to press reports.
McMillon, who began his career as a summer associate in a Walmart distribution center, now heads Walmart's 6,100 stores in 26 countries outside of the United States. He became president and CEO of the international segment in 2009. He has also served as president and CEO of Sam's Club.
Duke, who joined Walmart in 1995, has been president and CEO of the entire company since 2009. From 2005 to 2009, he was vice chairman and responsible for Walmart International.
A Walmart spokeswoman said the company did not comment on rumors and speculation about management changes.
