Sofia Vergara Home Line Rolling Out at Kmart

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-Kmart has debuted an exclusive home collection from actress Sofia Vergara.

Dubbed Sofia by Sofia Vergara, the new collection is a partnership between Kmart, LF USA (a subsidiary of Li & Fung Limited) and Latin World Entertainment Licensing. It expands the brand which launched with the actress' apparel line at Kmart stores and on kmart.com in fall 2011. The collection is already available in all Kmart stores nationwide and on kmart.com.

The home segment of the collection includes both bedding and bath products. The bedding line encompasses decorative pillows, 400 thread-count sheets and three-piece bed sets. The bath portion includes fashion towels, rugs, shower curtains and free-standing accessories such as soap dishes, toothbrush holders, lotion pumps and waste baskets. The designs in the collection are characterized by vibrant colors, rich detailing and "special attention to quality," according to a joint statement from Kmart, LF USA and Latin World Entertainment.

Vergara is currently acting in the ABC Network series "Modern Family." She is also a founding partner, with Luis Balaguer, of Latin World Entertainment.

Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
