Surtex Cites Tiler as Winner of Student Design Competition

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Louise Tiler, a student at Leeds College of Art in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, has won the grand prize in the 2011 Surtex designext student design competition.
Students who entered the competition created collections of original surface designs to be used in a commercial interior in the year 2020. In her winning entry, Tiler envisioned future design to feature intricate, hand-drawn images and patterns, including realistic flowers, birds and animals inspired by Chinese wallpapers found in English houses.
