TJX Adds Lepore to Board of Directors

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.-Dawn Lepore, former interim CEO of Prosper Marketplace, has been elected to the board of directors of The TJX Cos.

Lepore has joined a slate of 10 directors who were reelected at the company's annual meeting today. Ben Cammarata, TJX chairman, cited her "extensive experience and expertise in e-commerce and information technology, including a strong background in building and operating online retail businesses."

Lepore served as interim CEO of Prosper Marketplace, a peer-to-peer lending marketplace, from March 2012 to January of this year. Prior to that, she was chairman and CEO of drugstore.com, the online retailer of health, beauty and wellness products, from 2004 until it was sold to Walgreens in 2011. She also held various executive positions with Charles Schwab Co.
