Tuesday Morning Names Retail Exec Burman to Board

DALLAS-Terry Burman, former CEO of Signet Jewelers, has been appointed as an independent member of the Tuesday Morning board of directors.

A 16-year veteran with Signet, Burman led the company, the parent of retailers Kay Jewelers and Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, until retiring in 2011. During his tenure, Kay Jewelers grew to encompass more than 900 stores with annual sales of $1.5 billion. Jared increased from three stores to more than 175, and annual sales of $750 million.

Steven Becker, chairman of Tuesday Morning, said Burman "brings proven, specialty retail turnaround experience...a critical skill set as the board focuses on improved performance going forward."
