Walmart Ad Campaign Centers on Showing "The Real Walmart"

BENTONVILLE, Ark.-Walmart has initiated a national television and digital advertising campaign which focuses on how the retailer helps people save money on the products they need.
The effort keys in on three areas: helping Walmart customers succeed, helping Walmart associates succeed and how the company's efficiencies and direct-from-the-manufacturer approach help deliver lower prices. It consists of three ads--one focusing on shoppers, one on the sales associates and one on its business practices--and includes an accompanying website, therealwalmart.com.
Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., said, "We have wanted to do this for a long time because we know that people trust Walmart even more when they understand the opportunities we provide our associates, who the customers are that shop with us and how we deliver low prices."
