Withers Named Big Lots GMM for Furniture and Home

Big LotsCOLUMBUS, Ohio-Big Lots has appointed Martha Withers senior vice president and general merchandise manager for furniture and home decor.

The move is part of an overall realignment of the retailer's merchandising organization, which includes the promotion of Trey Johnson to senior vice president and general merchandise manager of food and consumables and the hiring of Lucy Cindric as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for seasonal, toys and electronics. All three executives are responsible for providing leadership and strategic alignment to the merchandising of their areas.

Withers' career includes category-related positions with Stage Stores, Stein Mart and May Department Stores.
