Wong Named to Head Marketing at Family Dollar

MATTHEWS, N.C.-Family Dollar has appointed Jocelyn Wong senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
Reporting to President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Bloom, Wong oversees the dollar-store retailer's marketing efforts. She is responsible for communications to customers that reinforce the Family Dollar brand and improve customer loyalty through circulars and the in-store experience. She has succeeded Don Hamblen, who was senior vice president of customer marketing and who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Before joining Family Dollar, Wong was group vice president of shopper marketing for Safeway. She also held various positions with Procter & Gamble, including associate marketing director of NA oral care.
