Kaleen Opens Permanent Showroom at 7 W New York

NEW YORK-Kaleen will open a permanent, 1,800-square-foot showroom at 7 W New York, in suite #820. To celebrate the event, the company will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Sept. 19, at 4:30 p.m., during the New York Home Fashions Market.

The hand- and machine-made rug manufacturer employs more than 6,500 skilled artisans and at market, it will show two new collections -- Astronomy and Bimini -- as well as Hana Charcoal, a new Khazana design. Handtufted of wool, Astronomy is "so unlike anything we've ever done before," said Joe Barkley, executive vice president. Bimimi is an indoor/outdoor rectangular braid group made of polypropylene, including the core. The successful Khazana line is now three years old, and now has 47 designs.
