Linon Moves to Space Within Powell Showroom at High Point Market

MINEOLA, N.Y.-Linon's area rug division will move to an expanded space within sister company's The Powell Company showroom at High Point Market next month. In the National Furniture Mart, space 100, the Linon area rug section will be on the second floor in about 7,000 square feet, estimated Steve Mazarakis, vice president, rug division, Linon. The new space will feature more than 800 rugs, of which 600 are in stock in multiple sizes and can be shipped in 72 hours.

Introductions for this market include the new Link collection, a three-dimensional shag rug made of polyester, which passes U.S. flammability laws. A 5-by-7 will retail for $249.

In addition, Linon will expand its Trio collection with 60 new designs in new colors. "These all-new color stories are the perfect solution for today's upholstery. New constructions such as cut and loop, high low, and handcarved piles create a fresh look to the collection," said Mazarakis. Trio is a handtufted line made of 100 percent mod polyester in China.

Linon will also host its Greek market party during High Point, at Linon's furniture showroom at 220 Elm Street, suite 202. To be held on Monday, Oct. 15, starting at 5:30, the party will include Greek music from The Brothers Glentsedes band, Greek and Brazilian wine, beer and spirits, Greek cuisine and desserts and, as always, plate breaking.
