Safavieh Expands High Point Showroom

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.--Safavieh has expanded its showroom space at High Point's Market Square to accommodate its new program of designer shags and novelty textured rugs. Measuring 1,000 square feet in suite 121, the additional space is adjacent to Safavieh's rugs and furniture showrooms in suites 120 and 123, which comprise 10,000 square feet.

"This space was the perfect natural addition to our High Point presence, allowing us to show the scope and breadth of our new developments for contemporary lifestyle customers," said Arash Yaraghi, principal, Safavieh.

Safavieh aims to offer an array of price points in the new program. Five new wool designer shag collections will be introduced, as will five collections of polypropylene shags. The introductions include Manhattan, a hand-knotted rug line made from individual petals of New Zealand wool, and Tribeca, which has very thick felted wool yarns hand knotted into an oversized pile texture.
