Ernst & Young Awards Donelly of Tervis

NORTH VENICE, Fla.--Tervis Chairman, Norbert Donelly, was recognized with a distinguished honor last last week by Ernst & Young as the Florida Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in the Consumer and Retail category.

As a regional award recipient, Donelly will now go on to compete at the national level. Honorees at the national level will be recognized during a ceremony on Nov. 16 in Palm Springs, Fla.

Donelly said he does not feel that this is a personal award, but an award that recognizes Tervis and its employees, retailers, vendors, and the culture that has been created.

"A company is only as successful as the people who work there," he said. "We have a culture of people who take pride in what they do and share my passion. For me it's not hard work if you are doing what you love."

Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
