Libbey's Gotthart Skeldon Dies

NEW YORK-Gretchen Gotthart Skeldon, a 22-year veteran at Libbey, passed away from breast cancer yesterday, the company announced. She was 47 years old and had battled the disease for years.
She had held numerous titles over the years at Libbey. Most recently, she was the national retail sales manager.
Known as the "Princess of Glass," Gotthart Skeldon "never allowed her medical challenges to impair her attitude or her zest to achieve new heights," the company said in a statement. "She is and always will be an inspiration for all of us to follow. Gretchen's unbending courage, faith and spirit lives on as we mourn her death and celebrate her life."
