Report: World Kitchen Searching for Suitor

ROSEMONT, Ill.-World Kitchen is exploring a sale of the company, according to a Reuters report that cited three unnamed sources.

The Reuters report also said the company has hired Baird to conduct the search, which is in the "early stages." The deal could be worth $600 to $700 million, the sources in the report said.

A World Kitchen spokeswoman told HFN that its corporate policy is to decline comment about any strategy speculation. "We can, however, say that we continue to be committed to our customers with regard to delivering the very best kitchen products in the marketplace now and in the years to come," the spokeswoman said.
