Tervis GroundbreakingTervis executives break ground on Innovation Center.

NORTH VENICE, Fla.-Insulated drinkware maker Tervis is building an Innovation Center at its corporate headquarters here in North Venice designed to encourage more open and collaborative teamwork.

Members of the marketing, web, new product development, creative, licensing, and line planning departments will be housed in the new 24,000-square-foot building. There will be open working and meeting spaces that encourage teamwork. "We wanted a space that allows our creative teams to work closely together," said Tervis President and CEO Patrick Redmond. "The sky's the limit on where their imaginations will take them."

The company broke ground this month and expects the center, which is adjacent to its existing headquarters and factory, to be completed in November 2014.
