ROSEMONT, Ill.--Barbara Turf, president and chief executive officer of Crate and Barrel, and Gerald Rubin, chairman, president and CEO of Helen of Troy, will be honored by the Housewares Charity Foundation during the International Home + Housewares Show next March.

Turf will receive the Lifetime Humanitarian Award and Rubin will be recognized as Humanitarian of the Year, at the 14th annual Housewares Charity Foundation Gala on March 7. The gala will take place at the Hilton Chicago hotel, and will feature James Beard Award-winning chefs and auctions, as it has in the past.

Since the first gala in 1998, HCF has raised $20 million and contributed $10 million to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, its legacy charity. In each of the past two years, the foundation has raised more than $2 million.
