Waechtersbach to Bring Weimar Porcelain to U.S. Market

NEW YORK-Weimar Porzellan, a centuries-old German porcelain maker, will now be available to the American market.

Sister company Waechtersbach introduced two Weimar collections at the New York Tabletop Show last week. Voyage features oval-shaped dinner plates in a combination of white bisque and fired porcelain. Each place setting has a highly detailed design representing a different country or region of the world, showcasing Weimar's technical expertise in figural design. A dinner plate retails for approximately $120.

The second collection is called Passion, lightweight porcelain featuring a wide array of fashionable color combinations and metallic edging. A dinner plate retails for $130.

Waechtersbach is also offering open-stock bone china mugs for the upstairs dinnerware department in a variety of colors and stripe and dotted designs.
