Yamazaki's Basanta to Retire

NEW YORK-Raymond Basanta, president of Yamazaki Tableware, has announced his plans to retire, effective Aug. 1. Paul Friedman, vice president of sales, will succeed Basanta.

Basanta, who has been with Yamazaki for 17 years, served as vice president of marketing and product development before taking the role of president in 2011. Prior to joining Yamazaki, Basanta was with Towle Manufacturing Co., Gorham and Nachtmann USA.

Basanta said he will relocate to his home in Vermont.
